Instagram, Here I Go!

Although I did try having some kind of weekly update last year, january, the month of new beginnings, have not been a month of frequent updates. The cause is obvious - few events have been exiting enough. To me, january is a pretty dull and easy month. The holidays are over. You take down all the decorations. Back to normal. You start to wonder what the next checkpoint is. I wouldn't say it's boring. It's just a month of not being very productive.

So to end the month, I decided to get instagram. Late to the game, as always, or shall I quote Gandalf? "A wizard is never late", you know! Why, yes, I am a wizard.

My username is fairydrop, in case you're curious to see what this wizard/fairy/???/lolita clad girl is up to (practicing the art of selfies).

I really hope and think february will be a little more eventful than january. Although I don't really mind slow paced days, I could use some adventure.

Not sorry about anything.

Innocent World 15th Anniversary Mook

I few posts back I quickly mentioned I had gotten Innocent World's Mook in the mail - a 54 pages dive into the beautiful world of this delicate lolita brand - and I thought I should share my impression of it.

IW has always been my favorite brands in the lolita genre. Most brands has a wide range of items that I would love to own some day, but IW just has a special corner of my heart occupied. I think it's because their clothes have a nice mix between classic elegancy and innocent sweetness. Ladylike and youthful at the same time. I tend to fall for anything classic that lean more towards the sweet side while still maintaining a more sophisticated feeling, and I find a lot of their designs do.

Prints throughout the years displayed in the textile museum!

I really wish I could read the written parts of this mook though, because I think it would give a deeper insight of the brand. I was especially looking forward to the "lessons for classical styles"365 days with Innocent World", and "textile museum" (witch was mostly pictures, anyway!), and I'm so sad I can't read more into it, haha.

All in all I'm very happy about purchasing it, and I'm so in love with the violin tote bag that came along with it. Probably the most price worthy brand purchase I've ever made!

Christmas Tea Party

Just when will I stop talking about christmas? Anyway, a couple of friends and I wanted to get together and do something fun around christmas (we started talking about it way back in 3013!) and so we decided to throw a little lolita tea party at my house.

I had made one of my favorite pastries - mini cheese cakes with caramel frosting, and my friends brought yummy treats as well - banana shortcake, chocolate chip cookies and snickers cookies! As my pretty guests arrived we proceeded to decorate the cake, and just goof around together, as we tried to fit our huge petticoats into my kitchen while trying to get as little whip cream in our wigs as possible.

Outfit rundown:
Blouse, Jsk, Socks, headbow: Angelic pretty (Dressy Doll Lucky Pack)
Acsessories: 6%dokidoki, Moonbunny, offbrand
Wig: Ebay

Josefin, Jennifer and I

Josefin and Sanne

We also spent some time being silly in photo booth:

Everyone being cute... and then there's me xD

Everyone looked so lovely and we had a great time. I also received some wonderful christmas gifts! We wrapped the day up by taking a long walk after we had some dinner, and drank some more tea while making up stories together.

One of my friends, Josefin, stayed until the next day, so we spent half the night internet shopping and watching youtube clips and browsing Storenvy and Ebay... And the two of us have a little announcement!

We have started a youtube channel together!

And our first video is from this very day:

Hope you'll like it~ We had so much fun filming it, and I want to give a big, viritual cookie to Josefin for editing it!

My First Lucky Pack

Ever since I heard of them, I've been wanting to get one. This may sound crazy, but part of it was because I wanted to see for myself just how much of a bloodbath this sport of lucky packs really are. So I decided to participate myself this year, with the infamous Angelic Pretty packs as my target. Sadly, my time zone wasn't in my favor (the packs were released around 4 am where I live, on a thursday. Not the best combo.) so I had set my alarm clock. I wasn't even sure about buying one, I was just very curious.

I accidentally slept through my first alarm, so I woke up at 6 am instead. A little disappointed I decided to check the Angelic Pretty site anyway, mostly for fun, but to my surprise there were still some leftovers for me!

Even though I loved the Candy Sprinkle series that was released for this lucky pack season, I had set my eyes on the Dressy Doll Set because I've been wanting to get something sweet, yet simple for quite a while.
I was really glad that I could snatch one. I think I got one of the last ones even, which made the whole thing a lot more exiting!

I received my pack earlier this week, and I had a lot of fun unpacking it (cheap basic items for the win!), and I really like it. I will be uploading worn pictures of it soon, since I had the chance to wear it just a few days after receiving it. Stay tuned!
